Destruction of the Melancholia

Well first of all and this is very important!: This pic does not stand in any realation with the film "The Da Vinci Code / Sakrileg"

I used a lot of symbols in this pic, like the stone the sword breakes from a pic of A.Dürer you can see within this article at wiki --> Melancholia

This pic also not supposed to be a "gothic" thing or to critcise the bible in a hard way (by the way I don't believe in god and I don't criticise people for believing in him)

On the sword is a writing what says NIHIL SINE CAVSA what does mean "Nothing without a reason"

The woman as figure of revolution and new life what does she stand for? What does the star on her forehead stand for? Well you have to answer the question on your own Think what could be the advantages of a matriarchal society in comparison to the patriarchal system we live in? This is not about female's emancipation but about an utopian society where an happy with each other could be ordinary. She's inspired by the awesome pic of Sandro Botticelli "Birth of the Venus"

Bird = symbol for God (more often it is an eagle but birds are a general symbol here) allusion to Nietzsche
withered olive branch = sign for lost hope and peace
stigmata = wounds of the messiah
